Welcome to the Employment and Education Administration
Welcome to the Employment and Education Administration in Bodens Municipality! Here, we have a consolidated responsibility for integration, employment, education, and employment issues affecting our municipality's residents. The administration is also responsible for the Music and Arts School (Kulturskolan) and food supply, as well as fulfilling tasks for the medical and psychological parts of student health services in municipal preschool classes, primary school, adapted primary school, upper secondary school, and adapted upper secondary school.

The Reception Centre for Newly Arrived (CMN) has the task of receiving and conducting an initial mapping of the learning of newly arrived children and students. CMN also has coordinating responsibility for mother tongue instruction and study guidance.

Job Responsibilities
You will work as a mother tongue teacher in primary school. Your workplace will be at various school units and different school forms where children and students are located. Your teaching will take place in the form of in-person instruction. As a secondary option, remote teaching may be an alternative.
Upon employment, you will receive an introduction regarding your job responsibilities. You will receive ongoing support in your professional role through various support functions at the workplace. As our employee, we expect you to follow Bodens Municipality's value base, work consciously with quality work, collegial learning, and professional development.
The position covers 25% and is fixed-term for the period 2026-08-10 to 2027-07-31.
Qualifications
We prefer that you are a licensed teacher with a Swedish teaching degree, alternatively that you have a documented foreign teaching education. If you lack teacher education but can show that you have another suitable university education, that may suffice.
It is meritorious if you have work experience from the Swedish school system and are familiar with the Education Act and the curricula for the different school forms. We therefore expect that you share this value base and can realize it in word and deed. You can adapt and vary your teaching. You are a good leader in the classroom and can create trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and management.
It is also meritorious if you have digital knowledge and skills so that you can conduct mother tongue instruction remotely. You are flexible, have an easy time collaborating, and are independent. You are positive towards new ideas and working methods and wish to constantly develop your teaching with learning as the focus.
Great importance is attached to personal suitability.
The work as a mother tongue teacher will give you rich opportunities to meet newly arrived and multilingual children and young people, and your contribution makes a difference.
Conditions and Application
We apply holiday service 40h/week with flexible hours. The position is filled on the condition that a regular teacher is not available.
- Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
- Duration: 6 months or longer.
Please attach teacher license or degree certificate. Extract from the criminal record register must be presented before employment in preschool and primary school.
