We are looking for you who want to work with a social, active, and charming young adult with autism and epilepsy. The individual is happy, enjoys walks, music, and other social activities. It is important for this person that you are engaged, open, and act as a driving force in daily life.

The work is varied – some days are filled with play and laughter, while others involve preventing and managing frustration or challenging behaviors. During excursions and other larger activities, you will always work in pairs, as the individual requires double assistance. You will receive an individualized introduction where you will learn about the individual's needs, routines, and working methods.

Your duties include support in all aspects of daily life, such as meals, personal hygiene, communication, and activities. Therefore, you need to be active and proactive, while also being empathetic, structured, and skilled at creating a sense of security. Humor, warmth, and the ability to adapt to mood and different environments are important qualities. The work should always contribute to strengthening the individual's independence and self-determination.

We would like you to:

• Have experience with epilepsy

Experience with personal assistance, low-arousal approach, and/or AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) is meritorious but not a requirement. The position involves working on a rolling schedule with day, evening, night, and weekend shifts. The position is full-time starting in June, but we would prefer if you could start working already in the spring. We are looking for both those who wish to work more continuously. As a personal assistant at Prima Omsorg, mandatory education and supervision apply.
