Project Manager for Welfare Technology at Social Services Administration
Stockholms kommunStockholms län, Stockholm
Previous experience is desired
Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone who lives here today and in the future. Now we are looking for you who want to think big, new, and different with us – for the people of Stockholm.
The Social Services Administration in Stockholm City has an overarching and coordinating role for social services' individual and family care, as well as the disability area. Here, good conditions are created to meet residents in need of social services support. In close collaboration with the district administrations, we contribute to a modern, digital, legally secure, equal, and knowledge-based social service with a strong development focus. Within the administration, a wide range of support measures are offered to the city's residents, and the range changes based on the needs of Stockholmers and the requests of the district administrations. The work is often carried out in close cooperation with other authorities, civil society, and business. The Social Services Administration is also responsible for the city's catering and tobacco licenses and performs supervision.
We are now looking for a Project Manager for Welfare Technology! This is a new role with us. If you like working close to operations and have the opportunity to shape your own role – apply!
Welcome to us
In the role of Project Manager, you will belong to a newly created unit called the Housing Planning Unit. We coordinate and follow up on the process from decision to completed housing in collaboration with construction actors, housing companies, and other administrations. The completed housing is then handed over to the district administrations for the operation of the activities. In addition, we also support the activities regarding fire safety for their existing housing according to LSS/SoL. We are a total of eight people in the unit and have our office in Farsta Centrum, close to the subway.

- A meaningful job that really makes a difference.
- A thorough introduction and a mentor during your first period.
- Flexible working hours and the possibility to exchange holiday pay supplements for extra leave.

Your role
In the role of Project Manager, your main assignment will be to drive projects for welfare technology in the city's special housing for people with disabilities. You will have a coordinating role within the welfare technology area to create better conditions and solutions for our users and staff. You work across organizational boundaries to reduce administration, share specialized competencies, and test innovative solutions. The collaboration extends across specialist administrations, district administrations, and other actors who in different ways are part of welfare.
Your tasks will include among other things:
- Inventory work on what is happening within welfare technology in Stockholm City and what has been done previously in the area.
- Conducting needs analysis for our activities – what do the activities need and how can we support them in the best way?
- Collaborating closely with internal project managers but also with other relevant actors such as IT, suppliers, and operations.
- Supporting the district administrations in the implementation of welfare technology.
Your competence and experience
We are looking for you who have:
- Several years of experience as a project manager/business developer or experience from another profession that we assess as equivalent and relevant.
- Post-secondary education in, for example, project management or other post-secondary education that we assess as relevant for the tasks.
- Worked within LSS/SoL/HVB (Housing with Special Care for Young Persons in Need of Special Support) or a related area and have a good understanding of the target group.
- Very good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.
We consider it meritorious if you have:
- Several years of experience in similar tasks.
- Good knowledge of Stockholm City or other politically governed activities.
Since this is a completely new role with us, we are looking for you who are not afraid to shape your own role and are attracted by the challenges and opportunities that come with this.
We place great emphasis on the following personal competencies:
You create security by being stable, clear, and trustworthy in change work. You have the ability to work independently, take responsibility for your projects, and drive the work forward even when conditions change.
With your holistic view, you see how technology, operations, and the individual's needs are connected, and you make decisions that work in practice for both users and operations. You are a skilled communicator who can explain things simply and adapt your message to the recipient.
The work also requires good collaboration skills. You enjoy working together with different professional groups, such as users, care staff, IT specialists, and suppliers, and contribute to an open and solution-focused working climate.
Other
We recruit without a cover letter in this recruitment to strengthen the focus on the competencies and experiences required for the role. In assessing your application, we will only base ourselves on your CV and a number of questions that you will answer when applying for the position.
The appointment of the position is subject to necessary decisions being made.
We see diversity as enriching and welcome all applicants. Stockholm City works with competence-based recruitment aimed at seeing each person's competence and thus combating discrimination.
