Region Västernorrland has received approval to launch National Highly Specialized Care (NHV) for the group with severe eating disorders at Sundsvall Hospital. This is a completely new form of care involving both inpatient and outpatient services, which started on December 1, 2023. NHV targets complex and rare care needs and is provided at five locations in Sweden, with collaboration on research and development.
The purpose of centralizing this care is to ensure high competence across the entire multidisciplinary team and to offer high-quality care without limiting accessibility. NHV will collaborate closely with other psychiatric operations within the county and will accept patients from all over Sweden. We in Sundsvall will also provide care for elite athletes with eating disorders.
We are now looking for a psychologist who is drawn to the opportunity to be part of building a new operation from the ground up. The position is a permanent, full-time role with a start date to be agreed upon.
ResponsibilitiesThe duties are varied and include cross-professional teamwork, consultation, and a significant amount of clinical work. You will be one of the team's psychologists working closely with dietitians, physiotherapists, and physicians. Team collaboration takes place on a daily basis with the ward's nurses and assistant nurses.
As a psychologist with us, you will work with, among other things:
- In-depth psychological assessments and investigations
- Individual psychological therapy (CFT, CBT-E, RO-DBT)
- Group therapy
- Consultation, supervision, and collaboration
Those working here are offered ongoing internal training and external education as needed.
QualificationsWe are looking for you who- Are a licensed psychologist
- Have proficiency in Swedish at a minimum level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale, and master it in both speech and writing
- Have specialized training in psychological treatment/psychotherapy
- Have experience working with patients with eating disorder issues
- Have experience working with RO-DBT, CFT, and/or CBT-E
- Have good knowledge of English in speech and writing
- Have additional language skills
- Personal maturity
