The Swedish Customs Administration is currently in a period of growth and development. To manage this, many of our premises and facilities need to be renewed and upgraded to better meet new workplace and capacity requirements. The agency does not own its own premises but rents them from external parties. The rentals consist mainly of offices and specific operational facilities. The Swedish Customs Administration also operates several control facilities at, among other places, ports and airports.

The Premises Unit handles the Swedish Customs Administration's premises supply issues. Our mission is to provide the agency with the most functional premises possible in both the short and long term. The unit is part of the Administration Department.

The unit manages, supports, and carries out tasks related to the acquisition, management, and decommissioning of premises. The majority of employees work in Stockholm, but we operate nationwide.

About the position

Your work will mainly consist of planning, procuring, and leading the installation of the Swedish Customs Administration's security systems, as well as the subsequent programming and management of these systems. You will be part of the Swedish Customs Administration's Premises Unit regarding premises supply, where work with security technical issues is a key component. You will primarily work as a sub-project manager in premises projects where you drive large and small premises changes and are responsible for the design of the telecommunications security systems. Your daily work will largely consist of analyzing, planning, specifying requirements, ordering, programming security systems, training staff, as well as supporting, inspecting, and following up in all stages of the project.

An important part of your assignment is to ensure the physical protection of the premises and to contribute to strategic decision-making.

You will be involved in preparing budget proposals, annual plans for premises acquisition, as well as internal investigations and standard-setting materials. You will join an engaged team and in your work, you will have, in addition to a large external network, close collaborations with other units and departments such as the Security and Preparedness Unit. Environmental scanning is a natural part of the work.

You will work in activity-based offices and we apply a flexible workplace policy. The location is at the Swedish Customs Administration's offices in Stockholm, Gothenburg, or Malmö. The work is to some extent adaptable to the applicant's conditions.

Travel within Sweden is included in the position as the premises specialists have national assignments.

Are you the one we are looking for?

We are looking for you who have:

• Post-secondary vocational and/or academic education in physical security, construction, and real estate, or other education combined with relevant experience that the employer deems equivalent.

• At least 10 years of experience working in the security industry with security issues and security work.

• Extensive experience working with planning and programming of complex security systems in projects with high confidentiality requirements.

• Education and experience working with Milestone and Pacom Unison.

• Experience working with technical management of properties or premises.

• Good communication skills and the ability to express yourself well in both speech and writing in Swedish.

• Good IT skills, especially in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Category B driver's license and good driving skills.

It is meritorious if you have:

• Engineering education in either CCTV or security systems.

• Project management education.

• Experience in designing telecommunications security systems.

• Experience in procurement, preferably LOU (Public Procurement Act).

• Experience training different types of user levels in Milestone and Pacom Unison.

• Experience working in state or regional operations.

Employment type: The position is a permanent employment and starts with a 6-month probationary period, and individual salary setting applies.
