We are looking for a Restaurant Manager, starting immediately

Storlien Mountain Hotel is one of Sweden's most historic and largest mountain hotels, with a history spanning over a century. Here, in the Jämtland mountains near the Norwegian border, tradition, nature, and hospitality meet. Over the years, the hotel has become a natural gathering place for skiers, hikers, conference guests, and pleasure-seekers looking for both adventure and relaxation.

With 200 rooms, ski lifts, cross-country ski tracks, hiking trails, restaurants, bars, a pool, a gym, and activities for all ages, we are not just a hotel – we are a complete mountain destination. Here, you live with the mountains as your nearest neighbor and everything you need under one roof.

The hotel reopened with new ownership in the winter of 2023 after being closed for five years. In many ways, we are still in a restart phase, which means this role is perfect for you if you want to help shape the concept, take significant responsibility, create routines, and build a pleasant and efficient work culture within the team. And not least, create wonderful memories for our guests.

We are looking for a natural leader who can take responsibility for our restaurants, which are divided into a smaller restaurant with 30 seats, one with 90, and one with 160.

In addition to the hotel's restaurants, we operate a slope-side restaurant during the winter season.

Winter is currently our primary high season, and we aim to establish a good year-round flow in the long term. During spring and autumn, we host conferences and several recurring major events. Please visit our website for more details.

We are keen to develop our events further, so experience in event management is a plus.

Duties include scheduling, staff supervision, training new employees, ordering drinks and supplies, as well as working in service yourself and acting as an present leader who demonstrates what good service looks like. It is important that you are responsible and ensure that the restaurant always complies with all laws and regulations. You ensure that employees have the right conditions and are properly trained.

You will work closely with the F&B Manager and Head Chef, so we value strong collaboration skills.

Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager or Event Manager is meritorious but not a requirement. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Employment type: We apply a probation period of 3–6 months.
