About the role

In the production kitchen, we prepare all meals for patients staying at the hospital. We cook almost all food from scratch and use local suppliers and producers to increase Jämtland's food security.

We work all weekdays, daytime only, so there is often time left to enjoy family and friends in the evenings and on weekends. The work can be physically demanding as we prepare 900–1500 portions of food per day. We produce chilled meal boxes, which means attention to detail and following recipes is crucial.

Responsibilities

Cook food from scratch
Prepare production for the following day
Cleaning
Dishwashing
Other common tasks in a large-scale kitchen

Qualifications and Merits

Chef training or experience deemed equivalent by the employer
Several years of experience as a chef is meritorious
Experience with special diets is meritorious
Knowledge of hygiene and HACCP
Kitchen mathematics
Ability to read and follow recipes
Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team

Employment Type

Fixed-term employment. There may be an opportunity to extend the employment.
