What will you be working with?
We are now looking for an experienced infrastructure technician with strong analytical skills to strengthen our competent infrastructure team. As an infrastructure technician, you will be part of a team that jointly is responsible for the operation, management, and development of the infrastructure.
Our environments consist of virtual and physical servers, storage and backup systems, monitoring, and load balancing. The environments are distributed between Windows and Linux. You will work with troubleshooting, analysis, and further development of our environments, contributing to stable, standardized, and available operations. Part of the work requires presence in one of our data centers.
With us, you will work close to the technology in complex environments where your skills make a real difference. The role includes being part of the on-call roster, which may involve acting outside of office hours.
The role also involves contact with various suppliers and work with procurement.
We are looking for you with high social competence and a genuine interest in problem-solving. You are service-oriented towards customers and colleagues, cooperative, and enjoy communicating with different types of people.
As an infrastructure technician, other tasks occurring within the unit may also be included.
Who are we looking for?
Requirements for the position:
- Several years of experience in server and storage operations with a focus on Windows in a large or complex IT environment.
- Qualified vocational or higher education in IT infrastructure, or equivalent competence assessed by the employer as comparable.
- Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Very high priority is given to:
- Personal qualities such as good teamwork skills, responsibility, and responsiveness to the organization's needs. You have a holistic perspective and a good approach to people.
- Good knowledge of the entire data center ecosystem, including Active Directory (AD), networking, VMware, storage, and databases.
- Current experience working with Windows, such as server OS upgrades, installation of new servers, and troubleshooting.
- Current experience administering Windows-related services, such as AD, ADFS, DNS, and DHCP.
- Current experience and good knowledge of VMware, including installation, configuration, and provisioning.
- Extensive experience and knowledge of hardware installation, such as the Cisco UCS family.
- Current experience and knowledge of daily operations and maintenance of storage environments (NetApp).
- Current experience in handling backups.
High priority is given to:
- Current experience working in a regulated environment.
- Experience with MS Exchange.
- Very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
- Basic knowledge of Linux.
- Ability to set requirements for suppliers, for example during procurement.
Priority is given to:
- Experience working based on ITIL.
What does the unit do?
The IT Unit is responsible for ensuring the Agency has a secure and accessible IT operational environment, as well as efficient support, management, and modern development of IT systems. The unit is also responsible for a coordinated and cost-effective process for purchasing IT-related equipment, licenses, and consulting services.

About the employment
You will be employed as a case officer (Handläggare) with placement at our office in Solna. The employment is a permanent full-time position starting with a six-month probationary period. Commencement is as soon as possible according to agreement.
As an employee of the Public Health Agency, you may be assigned to wartime duties. Some positions are classified security levels where Swedish citizenship may be a requirement. Security clearance will then be conducted in accordance with the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
At the Agency, there may be an opportunity to agree on remote work up to 40 percent of your working time.
