What We Offer

Torslanda Battery Assembly Shop (TBA) is currently in the start-up phase, offering you the opportunity to create something new and grow together with a team of competent and dedicated employees.

Our highly automated production equipment consists of laser and plasma technology, PLC systems, robots, equipment for glue and sealant application, painting, transport systems, and product-adapted mechanics.

This position is day-shift based and is covered by the IF Metall collective agreement.

Job Description and Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Engineer in Projects, you will be a key player from the project's concept study phase through to implementation in the factory. This means you will gather information on existing concepts, propose suitable concept solutions, and provide input to lifecycle cost evaluations to ensure the most suitable concept from a maintenance perspective is implemented.

Furthermore, you are responsible for anchoring updated requirements internally, attaching them as part of the RFQ dispatch, conducting early reviews of suppliers' design proposals, and reaching an optimal solution through dialogue. You will also participate in supplier evaluations with responsibility for the maintenance technical aspects.

Other parts of the role include verifying the machine's impact on the maintenance organization (working hours/competence), preparing training programs, participating in FAT and SAT to review and test the equipment from a maintenance perspective. During implementation, you will verify that maintenance-related responsibilities are fulfilled and ensure that all issues are handled according to the handover routine.

Other common tasks include:

  • Preparing spare parts lists and ensuring spare parts are available.
  • Creating instructions for preventive maintenance and maintenance actions in the maintenance system.
  • Creating equipment structures for equipment in the maintenance system.
  • Ensuring that scrapped equipment and associated spare parts are removed from the maintenance system.
  • Participating in risk analysis with the project organization to ensure that the equipment is safe to repair and maintain.
  • Investigating the need for special tools such as diagnostics, troubleshooting tools, software, and calibration tools for such equipment.

Qualifications and Personal Attributes

You have a technical university degree or equivalent/professional experience in specialist areas such as electrical or mechanical engineering. We also believe you have good knowledge of production processes, very good knowledge of the VDM maintenance process, and good familiarity with the Tooling process (Develop Facility, Tooling and Equipment process) as well as the ME/Toolings organization.

You have good user knowledge of the Office package, primarily Excel, although other programs are used frequently in the role, as well as very good knowledge of handling the company's maintenance and documentation systems.

Desirable skills for the role include good knowledge of the Machinery Directive (Machine Safety) and knowledge/experience of the Maximo maintenance system.

We place great importance on you as a person and are looking for someone with good cooperation skills, a service mindset, and a customer focus. You are structured and driven in your approach to work. You may be involved in various projects simultaneously, which requires you to be structured with high administrative ability. Leading and communicating is something you enjoy, and you express yourself well in both Swedish and English, orally and in writing.

You are logical in your thinking and have a solution-focused ability that helps you find new ways to solve problems or make decisions when needed. As a person, you always focus on high quality, customer satisfaction, and delivery precision in everything you do.
