Do you want to teach with the mountains as your classroom – where small groups and proximity to students and colleagues give you great opportunities to make an impact?

We are now looking for a certified and qualified teacher of Swedish and English for the school year 2026–2027.

Dikanäs Mountain School is a grades F–9 school located approximately ten miles from Vilhelmina urban area. It is a lively mountain village with a strong community spirit. Here we work in small groups, close to nature, with a strong focus on collaboration across grade levels and stages. Together with the local preschool, we create a holistic environment where everyone knows everyone – and where you truly have the opportunity to influence and develop your teaching.

Responsibilities

You are responsible for planning, teaching, and follow-up for Swedish and English in accordance with the curriculum and current guidelines. The role includes creating an stimulating and inclusive learning environment where teaching is adapted to students' different needs and prerequisites, with the goal of giving all students the opportunity to reach as far as possible in their knowledge development.

You work actively with assessment and documentation of students' knowledge and are responsible for grading.

Qualifications

You are a certified teacher with qualifications in Swedish and English. You are flexible and see opportunities in teaching situations. You have an easy time collaborating and see the strength in working across grade levels and stages, and are innovative and want to contribute to the school's development.

Experience with ICT in teaching and competence in other subjects is meritorious.

Great importance is placed on personal suitability.

Conditions

With reference to Act SFS 2000:873, those offered the position must present an extract from the criminal record register before employment can be established.
