About the Role

We are looking for an exciting role suited for you with several years of experience in land and development projects. To succeed in this assignment, you are required to have a relevant university education and experience from similar assignments.

Tjörn is an expanding and exciting municipality that has several interesting and challenging development projects underway in the coming years. As a Land and Development Engineer, you need to have a solid interest in development issues and the ability to drive projects independently and make decisions autonomously.

Responsibilities

In the role of Land and Development Engineer, you will be responsible for both small and large development projects. Your area of work is broad, ranging from implementation issues related to detailed planning to the granting of municipal land rights. You will work with development, land issues, and various granting matters.

You must be able to lead, plan, and follow up on projects to ensure that authority requirements, economy, quality, and environmental standards are met. You will be responsible for procurement matters, tracking schedules and calculations, reporting, and the final result. Within the framework of the project, you should be able to propose action alternatives, decide on measures, and clearly communicate information about your projects to others.

You need to be communicative, clear, and have the ability to build good relationships both internally and externally. You should be able to drive projects independently as well as in close collaboration with both internal colleagues and external parties. You will work closely with our planning architects, construction project managers, water and wastewater engineers, building permit handlers, and other land and development engineers.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a degree in civil or university engineering in land and development, surveying, or equivalent, or alternatively another educational background that we assess as equivalent.

Requirements:

• Several years of documented experience working with land and/or development issues.
• Category B driver's license, as the role involves some travel within the municipality where the car is the primary mode of transport.

You also need to be driven and self-reliant, with an ease in working systematically and collaborating both internally and externally.
