Job Description

The Administrative Unit is looking for a Caretaker at Kemicentrum. Your responsibilities include regular supervision and control of the premises, ensuring order, identifying building damage, and addressing other issues to maintain Kemicentrum as a pleasant workplace.

Daily tasks include repairs and moving of furniture, maintenance and control of alarm functions, emergency showers, etc. Changing locks and lock systems is also part of the role. You will guide and advise craftsmen and contractors alongside service technicians during repairs and building maintenance. As the Caretaker for the Administrative Unit, you are also responsible for mail and package handling for the entire Kemicentrum.

The Administrative Unit also manages guest apartments rented to guests and students. The Caretaker is responsible for inspections before and after rental, various measures related to inspections, minor repairs in the apartments, moving furniture, and installing equipment found in the apartments.

The position involves heavy lifting and climbing ladders, so good physical fitness is a prerequisite. Tasks may vary over time based on operational needs.

Requirements

You have worked as a service tradesperson for at least 5 years, with direct contact with customers. We value that you are meticulous, appreciate quality, and have an eye for detail. You are a positive and flexible person with the ability to communicate with customers and property owners. You enjoy providing service and collaborate easily.

You also have:

• A relevant upper secondary education in construction, property maintenance, or equivalent.
• Professional experience and knowledge of different lock systems regarding replacement and minor repairs.
• Computer proficiency with experience in the Office suite, able to handle Word, Excel, and Outlook with calendar management without difficulty.
• A valid B-driver's license.
• Documented good ability to speak and write Swedish and English, which is required as our environment is international.

Other Merits:

• Experience in internal property maintenance.
• Experience working as a carpenter, painter, or electrician.
• Experience collaborating with external actors/consultants.
• Experience with mail and package handling.
• Experience and knowledge of connecting and troubleshooting AV equipment.
