Your assignment

In the role of support assistant, you base your work on the residents' individual needs and wishes, providing support in daily life from a pedagogical approach. Together with other employees, you work towards the goal of making the day meaningful and content-rich. You support and guide with personal care, meals, medication management, cleaning, social contacts, and communication. An important part of the job is to stimulate and motivate the resident to develop their abilities and create opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time. Your duties also include documenting and planning based on implementation plans.

About the unit

Nytida Astagården is located in a very natural and scenic environment in Kungsbacka, surrounded by a lovely garden. The residence is divided into two units: an LSS residence with 6 apartments and a SOL residence with 19 apartments. Currently, we have sleeping on-call shifts, day shifts, evening shifts, weekend duties, and awake night shifts.

Astagården caters to adult women and men with mental disabilities. This can include phobias/depression, learning difficulties, mental disabilities, psychosocial issues, schizophrenia, or anxiety disorders. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for our residents and offer care, security, and joyful, meaningful days.

Your experience and knowledge

Experience working with the target group is meritorious. You have good computer skills and experience with documentation. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is a requirement.
