Together, we are at the forefront in many areas of municipal waste management, responsible for delivering modern, sustainable, and forward-looking waste management services to approximately 130,000 residents.

Job Description

Here, you will become part of an engaged team consisting of a Waste Manager and two Waste Engineers. Together, you will drive development forward in the waste management sector. As a Waste Case Officer and Project Manager, you hold a central position – both as support to your colleagues and as a specialist in your areas of responsibility, with responsibility for planning, coordinating, and driving projects forward.

You will also play a key role in our unique collaboration, where your skills and engagement contribute to better waste management across all four municipalities.

We work broadly with waste issues, giving you great opportunities to develop your skills and contribute to the future direction of the operations. You will work in a municipality in constant development, where the ambition is high regarding service, sustainability, and innovation.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who thrive in a role where order, structure, and quality are in focus. You have a well-developed ability to document cases in a clear, correct, and legally secure manner, ensuring that routines and processes are followed and further developed if necessary.

You have experience in driving projects and are accustomed to coordinating larger works involving multiple people, roles, and functions. You take responsibility for the whole and ensure that work is driven forward in a structured and efficient manner.

Background or experience in the waste sector is meritorious, as are basic knowledge of occupational health and safety issues and relevant legislation. It is also an advantage if you have a good understanding of the Public Procurement Act (LOU) as well as experience in procurement and general document management.

As a person, you are service-oriented, socially secure, and professional in your interactions. You enjoy meeting people and representing the operations in a trustworthy and convincing manner – both in conversations, during customer visits, and in collaboration with other actors. You have an easy time building good relationships and meet our customers with respect, clarity, and genuine engagement.

In the role of Waste Case Officer/Project Manager, you will among other things:

  • Document and process cases in a structured and legally secure manner
  • Develop and ensure routines, processes, and governing documents
  • Lead and coordinate colleagues and partners in both small and large projects
  • Work with procurements and issues related to the Public Procurement Act (LOU)
  • Contribute knowledge regarding occupational health and relevant legislation within the waste sector
  • Participate in and drive development work related to waste management and service
  • Conduct customer visits and meetings where you represent the operations in a professional and service-oriented manner
  • Collaborate closely with the Waste Manager and Waste Engineers in projects and ongoing assignments
  • Analyze statistics and investigate causes, connections, and areas for improvement
  • Drive projects and represent the municipality in various working groups within our unique waste collaboration.
