About the role of Raw Materials Manager

As Raw Materials Manager, you lead the raw material supply towards our vision of contributing to a greener everyday life and a vibrant local community through the optimal processing of renewable wood resources.

You are responsible for ensuring a cost-effective, sustainable, and stable supply of roundwood and biofuel raw materials to the group's operations in Glommersträsk and Kalix.

The role combines strategic and operational responsibilities, working with everything from raw material strategy, market analyses, and supplier relations to purchasing, logistics, and flow optimization.

You will have a broad and important role in developing collaborations with forestry companies, contractors, and other partners, while contributing to profitability through the right quality, volume, and commercial solutions.

Your main areas of responsibility:

• Responsible for the purchase and supply of roundwood and biofuel raw materials
• Develop and implement raw material strategies in line with the group's goals
• Build long-term relationships and negotiate agreements with suppliers and partners
• Plan and optimize raw material flows, logistics, and delivery precision
• Ensure quality and cost-efficiency throughout the value chain
• Work with market analyses, budgeting, and cost monitoring
• Contribute to the development of the group's biofuel operations

The position is based in Kalix, reports to the COO, and is part of the company's management group, with close collaboration with production, logistics, and other functions within the group.

Experience and qualifications

We are looking for you who have a strong business drive and a good understanding of the forestry industry's value chain.

You have a relevant academic education in fields such as forestry, logistics, or industrial economics, or equivalent experience, as well as good experience in raw material purchasing or supply within the forestry industry.

We would appreciate if you have experience with:

• Supplier negotiations and contract work
• Raw material logistics and flow planning
• Timber market, quality, and value chain
• Commercial and data-driven decision-making

It is an advantage if you have experience in biofuel production or energy products.

Your personality

To succeed in the role, you are analytical, solution-oriented, communicative, and independent, with a good ability to combine strategic thinking with operational execution. You thrive in a role with many contact points and in an operation where collaboration and development are in focus. You are proficient in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
