Bråbo Industri is looking for an experienced Mechanical Designer.

Bråbo customizes and develops production equipment for the industry. This involves special machines, fixtures, and technical adaptations developed from preliminary studies to final installation.

About the role:

You will become part of the mechanics team and work closely with colleagues. You will be involved from the initial technical discussions through to commissioned equipment and customer follow-up.

The work includes:

• Preliminary studies and concept development
• 3D-CAD design (primarily SolidWorks)
• Large-scale assemblies and manufacturing documentation
• Technical assessments regarding materials, tolerances, and strength
• Dialogue with customers, suppliers, and production
• Participation in assembly, testing, and commissioning

Projects vary in scope and complexity. You will work in parallel on several assignments in different phases and are expected to independently drive your parts forward.

The work takes place from the office in Åby and on-site with customers or manufacturers in the region. You take technical responsibility for ensuring that the solutions work in practice – not just on paper.

We are looking for you who

• Have several years of experience in mechanical design in an industrial environment
• Are familiar with 3D-CAD
• Have worked close to manufacturing, assembly, or workshops
• Have a good understanding of sizing, function, and practical limitations
• Are confident in technical dialogue with customers

Experience with machine safety and CE, as well as knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, or drive systems, is advantageous. A relevant engineering degree in mechanics is an advantage.

You must be fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written, and hold a valid driver's license (Category B).
