With over 60 years of industry experience, Momec combines technical competence, quality, and innovation in the development of certified steel doors for the marine industry. The company delivers advanced and customer-specific solutions to clients worldwide and continues to grow alongside its projects and partnerships.

Momec AB is a specialized manufacturer of secure and certified steel doors that protect both people and property. The company currently has around 25 dedicated employees who jointly develop and produce solutions for a global marine market. Customers are found within shipyards, shipping companies, and the offshore industry worldwide, and Momec is also a long-term partner in contract manufacturing and sheet metal processing.

The operations are conducted in newly renovated premises in Bottnaryd, just outside Jönköping. Momec is part of the Weland Group – a family-owned industrial conglomerate with approximately 1,300 employees and a turnover of around 4 billion SEK, providing a stable and long-term foundation for continued development.

Job Description

As a Designer/Constructor at Momec AB, you will work on creating customer-specific drawings and developing the product range, from design and prototypes to fire testing and finished certified doors. You will play a central role in our continued development and will also become part of the management team, contributing to the company's strategic direction.

You will work closely with both the sales organization and customers, playing a key part in developing both the business and our long-term offering. This role suits you if you thrive in a smaller company where you can switch between operational tasks and more strategic work – and where the pace may vary. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Create customer-specific drawings
• Develop existing and new door models
• Participate in fire testing of our doors
• Be part of the management team and contribute to the company's overall direction

Qualifications

We look for candidates with experience from manufacturing industry and design, preferably within sheet metal or door systems. You thrive in an environment where technology meets practical work and where you are given significant personal responsibility.

We would appreciate if you have:

• Good knowledge of CAD systems, preferably SolidWorks
• Good professional experience in production and manufacturing of sheet metal
• Experience working in ERP systems. Experience with Monitor is a plus
• A passion for quality, development, and responsibility – in every detail, every day
• Enjoy working in a smaller company where you have the opportunity to influence our path forward
