About Us

The position is located at the Business Support Division at the headquarters in Kristinehamn. The Business Support Division is responsible for overarching issues such as business planning, economic and operational management, HR, IT, security protection, communication, records management, and facilities.

About the Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for an engaged and development-oriented Business Controller who wants to lead and develop operational management based on Elsäkerhetsverket's strategy.

As a Business Controller, you will work with a broad mandate, both strategically and operationally. The role involves developing and maintaining methods and structures for the agency's operational management, internal control, and risk analysis. You will lead the work on creating the business plan, the three-year budget basis, defining goals and key performance indicators (KPIs), and coordinating the agency's quarterly follow-ups. You will support managers and employees in goal and result monitoring as well as business analyses.

You will work with agency-wide investigation assignments, drive development projects, and be part of the work on the agency's crisis and contingency planning, as well as other tasks within the division.

We are looking for someone who

Has experience leading and motivating operational management in a government agency or other public sector organization. You are open and interested in your external environment. Your leadership is characterized by drive, trust, security, and credibility. You are an analytical person who has the ability to build trusting collaborations both within and outside the agency. You have a holistic view, are result- and goal-oriented, and are engaged in development work. It is important that you are receptive and capable of handling varying needs and conditions.

To qualify for the position, you have

• A university or college education with a relevant focus, or experience that the employer considers equivalent.
• Several years of work experience in similar tasks.
• Experience working in various systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Swedish, as well as being a good educator and communicator.
• The personal qualities outlined in the requirement profile.
• Knowledge of state result reporting.
• Experience in business development through digitalization.
• Experience from leading large projects and collaborating with external stakeholders in major projects.
• Knowledge of process mapping.

Conditions
