JOB DESCRIPTION

Do you want to be part of developing preventive social work where you truly make a difference for children, young people, and families?

We are now looking for an outpatient therapist who wants to contribute to the transition towards the new Social Services Act, where early interventions, accessibility, and collaboration are in focus.

Key Responsibilities

As an outpatient therapist, you will work with counseling, support, and treatment measures aimed at children, adolescents, and adults in Pajala. The work is conducted both individually and in groups, as well as in close collaboration with other stakeholders. We are currently seeking a therapist who is particularly passionate about working with children, adolescents, and families, although the duties may also include working with adults needing support based on social psychiatry or harmful use/addiction, as we assist each other during absences, for example.

The role includes, among other things:

• Providing counseling, support, and treatment to children, young people, and families
• Working preventively and proactively according to the new Social Services Act
• Informing about the Social Services' mandate in schools and other operations
• Collaborating with internal and external actors
• Participating in the launch and development of a youth club activity

The role offers significant opportunities to influence and develop working methods based on the needs of the operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• Relevant university education, such as social work, social pedagogy, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
• Experience working with children, young people, and/or families
• Good ability to communicate verbally and in writing
• Category B driver's license

Experience in similar tasks is meritorious but not a requirement.
