Geresta School is located on Härnön in Härnösand Municipality. The school is situated in a beautiful natural setting with a schoolyard bordering forest and recreational areas, which are used extensively in daily activities. The school offers activities from preschool class to grade 6, as well as four after-school care departments.

Job Responsibilities

The position involves daily teaching at the after-school care center, as well as shared responsibility, together with the class teacher, for the pedagogical learning environment in a grade during school hours.

Together with your colleagues who are after-school care teachers, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the activities at one of the school's after-school departments. At Geresta School, you work in teams with teachers, after-school care teachers, and student assistants. You will work with collegial learning and the development of the activity in collaboration with your colleagues and school management.

Qualifications

You are passionate about pedagogical development and want to drive and develop an activity. You see the big picture and gain energy from working together with colleagues, student health services, and school management to create a good school for the students. You should be a clear leader in all work with students. As a person, you are structured, flexible, stress-resistant, and enduring. You have a professional demeanor and can build trust with students, guardians, and colleagues.

Requirements:

• Teacher degree with eligibility to teach in after-school care according to teacher licensure.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Digital competence, both as a pedagogical tool and for documentation.

Merits:

• Eligible to teach in sports, art, and/or music.
• Previous experience working as an after-school care teacher.
• Advanced knowledge of ADHD/Autism (NPF).

• Relationship-building and secure in meetings with students, guardians, and colleagues
• Good teamwork skills, engaged, and communicative
• Good organizational skills, structured, solution-oriented, and accustomed to taking responsibility from idea to implementation
