Description

As an employee in Gislaved Municipality, you are a co-creator at your workplace. You are given the opportunity and expected to contribute to the development of the operations through your knowledge and experience. Respect for differences and the equal value of all people are fundamental to us.

The Land and Development Unit, which today consists of four employees and a unit manager, is one of three units within the Department for Projects and Implementation, which in turn is one of four departments within the Municipal Development Administration's urban planning process.

Responsibilities

As a Land and Development Engineer in Gislaved Municipality, you will work with various issues throughout all stages of the urban planning process with varying tasks. You will work with development projects from the initial idea to the implementation phase. Many tasks are carried out in project form, and you will work together with representatives from other administrations, authorities, developers, contractors, consultants, and others. You will prepare materials for political decisions and contribute to the preparation of investigations, economic analyses, and implementation planning.

Since we consider it important to include property and implementation issues in the detailed planning process, you will also participate in this. There is also a major focus on negotiations and drawing up contract proposals in connection with the purchase and sale of properties, as well as various agreements in the development process, such as land allocation agreements and development agreements.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with a Master of Science degree in Surveying, Urban Planning, or equivalent higher education with a degree. You have experience of working in the development area, as a development engineer or equivalent. Furthermore, you have knowledge and preferably experience of applying property law and working with implementation issues in physical planning. You should have a strong interest in urban development issues. Negotiation experience is meritorious.

You should be good at collaborating and building good relationships, while it is also important that you are independent in your work and take responsibility for your tasks. Since you will have a large network, both internally and externally, and handle various contractual issues in the role, it is important that you are secure, stable, and have a good ability to behave professionally. The role also requires that you can make trade-offs, prioritize, and adapt to changed situations in your daily work. Furthermore, you have good linguistic analytical skills and understand the importance of being clear in both speech and writing, and you master the Swedish language well.

Experience of working in a politically governed organization is meritorious, as is experience of working with complex development issues from larger municipalities.

Your teamwork is deeply linked to your ability to collaborate and participate in the development of yourself and the operations. With us, this means that you have good cooperation with your manager and colleagues, both at your own workplace and in the rest of the municipal group. You treat everyone with a high level of service, kindness, and high quality through a customer and service focus. You take responsibility for participating in operational issues and are solution-oriented.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability and that your view of teamwork corresponds with ours.

Do you want to be part of our success? We welcome your application!

In Gislaved Municipality, full-time employment is a right, and therefore vacant positions are advertised as full-time. When the operations can accommodate part-time work, this is of course an option. Positions shorter than 3 months and certain positions may be exempted. In connection with the recruitment process, Gislaved Municipality has taken a stance on recruitment channels and marketing. We therefore expressly decline contact with media sales, recruitment sites, and similar.
