Description

We are now expanding the family team with one more family therapist!

The family team is part of the IFO Child and Family unit, which consists of four family therapists, 11 social secretaries, one family law secretary, and two foster care secretaries.

The unit is led by a unit manager and two supervisors. From August 2026, a senior social worker will join, and within the framework of the "Home First" project, the unit will also have access to a psychologist at 20%. Here we also receive support from a highly qualified and experienced supervisor who provides the group with continuous supervision.

The operations are based in central Rättvik, and in this role, you will meet children, young people, and parents both in our premises and in the families' homes.

We are looking for you with experience and knowledge from working with change work in child families.

You thrive working both independently and in a team and are motivated by having varied tasks in a small work group.

Job Description

As a family therapist, you work with treatment assignments that come from social secretaries. Your main task is to work with change processes in families. This can take place at home in the form of support in various ways. The change work can also take place through therapeutic conversations and in the form of structured treatment methods or group activities.

Family therapists work both independently and in a team with both the closest work group and supervisors, as well as other internal collaboration actors such as authorities or housing support. The role of the family therapist also includes collaborating with external actors such as schools and psychiatry.

The work involves documentation. Family therapists write reports and assess processes within the treatment based on set goals.

You always have team supervision with your closest colleagues in the Family Team and support from your supervisors and manager.

Family therapists work primarily during the day, but since the assignment is based on the families' needs, it may mean that you sometimes need to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with experience of family therapy work within the framework of the Social Services Act, as well as knowledge of systemic approach, network work, and attachment.

Experience of authority work with children and young people is meritorious, as well as knowledge of the business system LifeCare, the working models Signs of Safety, and BBIC.

The position requires a social work degree, or alternatively a university/college degree that the employer deems suitable.

You have a B driving license and driving experience.

The position requires good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good ability to use computers and telephones in work.

It is of utmost importance that you both appreciate and are good at working in collaboration with others, as this is an important part of the job. You can take responsibility for your tasks, plan, and drive processes forward towards set goals and timeframes.
