Do you want to become one of the key figures in the establishment and management of Region Örebro County's supply preparedness? Are you ready to help shape a new, exciting role? Then this might be the opportunity for you!

In a time of rapidly changing external conditions, new legislative requirements, national assignments, and a clearer responsibility within civil defense, the demands are increasing. Specifically, the healthcare sector as well as other administrations must be able to function during peacetime crises and heightened readiness. Targeted work on supply preparedness has been ongoing since 2025, and in January 2027, new legal requirements will come into force. This means that additional efforts and competencies need to be added to secure access to materials and ensure logistical flows.

The Area of Close Service, part of Region Services, is responsible for the processes of meals, cleaning, and logistics. Our approximately 400 employees work primarily at the county's three hospitals, but are also present at health centers, public dental care clinics, and other operations throughout the county.

  • Being responsible for, controlling, and steering the region's internal and external distribution and logistics at a strategic and tactical level.
  • Managing the region's storage areas to optimize stock levels, service grade, turnover rate, and capital tie-up.
  • Developing the digitalization of the region's warehouse and logistics flows.
  • Producing, analyzing, structuring, and presenting basis for decision-making to management, steering groups, and the political level.
Qualifications

We are looking for you with an academic degree or equivalent that the employer considers relevant for the assignment. You have experience in logistics development and/or supply issues, and preferably several years of experience leading extensive change projects in large and complex organizations. You also have experience with warehouses, logistics, and warehouse management systems.

You have a strong interest in the operations, are analytical and self-initiative, and have a knack for identifying areas for improvement. Furthermore, you have very good communication skills in speech and writing, are flexible and service-oriented, and thrive with many contact points within the organization.

You are accustomed to compiling, structuring, and presenting information and decision support materials to different levels within an organization. You have the ability to visualize complex problems and convert them into action plans. A high understanding and knowledge of material supply and good knowledge of system support related to logistics flows are necessary for the role.
