Saab Dynamics is now looking for a driven and engaged Area Manager within Production who wants to help build a completely new part of the business, Precision Fires. You will step into a unique position where the business is under construction, giving you a central role in shaping the organization, working methods, and culture from the ground up.

Since the area is in the establishment phase, the role will initially have a clear project character, where you will hold a central and strategically important position in shaping future production. For the right person, this means the opportunity to truly influence the business – from organization and processes to culture and long-term working methods.

The role initially involves a strong focus on building up and establishing the business, with the aim of developing and leading the organization that grows over time.

Your Role

You will have overall responsibility for building up, leading, and further developing the business. The role involves both strategic and operational responsibility, where you work with everything from resource planning and production development to coordination between different functions and business areas.

Your main areas of responsibility include:

• Leading and developing production and ensuring the right capacity and resource allocation
• Building up organization, structures, and efficient working methods in a business under establishment
• Creating prerequisites for efficient workflows and production processes
• Ensuring delivery capability in line with business and customer requirements
• Coordinating different functions and units towards common goals
• Driving improvement and change work in close collaboration with the business
• Contributing to long-term strategy and development within Precision Fires Production

You work closely with both internal and external stakeholders and serve as a key link between production, business, and strategy.

The position is located in Karlskoga, but regular travel, primarily to Linköping, will be a natural part of the role as parts of the business are located there.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a confident and engaging leader with a good ability to create structure and momentum in complex environments. You have experience leading complex businesses and feel comfortable in an environment where change and development are a natural part of everyday life.

You have experience leading businesses in change, preferably with managerial responsibility over managers, and feel comfortable navigating situations where not all prerequisites are in place yet.

• Have extensive leadership experience from production or related operations
• Have good technical understanding and can immerse yourself in complex processes
• Have experience in change and development work
• Are business-minded and have a holistic perspective on operations and delivery
• Are decisive, structured, and results-oriented

• Communicative and relationship-building
• Inclusive and non-hierarchical
• Clear in your leadership with the ability to engage and motivate

You express yourself effortlessly in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.

The position requires you to undergo and pass security clearance according to current regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
