Behavioral Scientist/Counselor with CBT Step 1 at Stadsmissionshälsan and our new counseling clinic in Nyköping

We are now expanding our Stadsmissionshälsa services with a new counseling clinic and are looking for you who want to meet individuals in vulnerable groups.

About Stadsmissionshälsa

Through Stadsmissionshälsa, we can offer socially vulnerable groups the care they are entitled to, which can sometimes be difficult to access within regular healthcare. A very important part of our work is to identify patients at an early stage to prevent more serious conditions.

Stadsmissionshälsa is an open drop-in clinic where no appointment is required. All visits are free of charge. Our clinics are located in both Eskilstuna and Nyköping.

Your Responsibilities

The role involves individual assessments, treatment, and guidance of adult patients at the counseling clinic, which will become part of Stadsmissionshälsa. The clinic operates in connection with our open meeting places in Eskilstuna and Nyköping.

As a behavioral scientist/counselor, you will meet a broad group of patients for assessment and counseling support. Common reasons for seeking help include anxiety disorders, depression, and stress/burnout reactions, often rooted in trauma. In addition to individual sessions and assessments, you will act as a bridge between the patient and primary care/psychiatry, which may also involve accompanying patients to certain appointments at these facilities.

Since the counseling clinic is new and operates in a project format, you will participate in the development and evaluation of the clinic. The extent of these tasks will be determined based on your qualifications and the needs of the organization.

The position corresponds to 20% of a full-time role.

Qualifications

We are looking for a behavioral scientist/counselor with training in CBT Step 1. You have clinical experience and competence in diagnostics and counseling support. Previous experience in counseling within primary care and/or psychiatry is advantageous.
