About the department/group

KTH's nine commercial lawyers provide legal advice within civil law and contract law to KTH's management and operations. As a commercial lawyer, you are placed at the Commercial Law Unit, which belongs to the Research Support Department. Our group's work is characterized by a high pace and a service-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

The position primarily involves negotiating and drafting agreements regarding research collaboration and research assignments in various forms. Additionally, the role includes working with a broad range of other contract types and civil law issues, primarily in the area of intellectual property. The work is conducted primarily in English and often involves multinational organizations and companies as contracting parties. KTH participates in complex research and collaboration projects, and you will work with Swedish and international contract law within an administrative legal framework at a university that is also a Swedish authority. We are located at Campus Valhallavägen.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Swedish Master of Laws degree (Jur. kand.) or equivalent
• At least three years of independent professional experience in the following three areas: contract law and intellectual property law, contract negotiation, client or other customer contact
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as these are used in daily work

We are looking for someone who is independent, proactive, service-oriented, quality-conscious, and has high integrity.

• from industrial companies, large law firms, higher education institutions, or other authorities,
• in general commercial law, intellectual property law, agreements concerning research funding, defense, life science, or IT law,
• in data protection and other regulatory compliance (e.g., export control)

Education:

• in economics or administration, or data protection or export control
