We are looking for you who want to work in a dynamic agency that carries out the government's and parliament's mandate to create conditions for better living standards for people living in poverty and oppression. As a Division Controller at the Global Division, you will have the opportunity to work with issues related to internal governance and control, with a special focus on financial planning and monitoring. About the job
You are placed on the staff at the Global Division. In addition to the division controller, the staff consists of a business developer, a division administrator, and a strategy coordinator, and is led by the deputy division manager who will be your direct manager. As a division controller, you are part of the division's management group and provide managers with advice and support in governance and control issues. The role involves coordinating the division's financial management within the framework of Sida's annual cycle and continuously monitoring the division's financial results. You contribute to change and monitoring work through analyses and proposals for improvements, and are a key person in the division's work with the internal control environment. You participate in the staff's joint work.
You work at our office in Sundbyberg (Rissne).
Responsibilities
- Financial management and monitoring at the division level
- Work broadly with internal governance and control at the division level
- Act as support to division and unit managers in matters of economy, governance, control, etc.
- Develop operations together with other functions in the division and the agency as a whole

Qualifications
Education
- University degree with a focus on economics, or another social science subject such as political science.
Languages
- Good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing
- Good knowledge of English in both speech and writing
Work experience and knowledge
- Several years of experience in working with economic and operational management, especially financial planning and monitoring
- Experience of working with quality assurance of economy and operations based on regulations, guidelines, and method instructions.
- Experience of analyzing quantitative and qualitative information, compiling it, and communicating it to different recipient groups.
- Good knowledge of Excel

For this role, it is meritorious if you
- Experience of working with internal governance and control at a Swedish authority
- Experience of risk assessment and risk management in public sector operations
Good to know
The position is for a permanent employment with immediate start. Probation period applies.
Sida offers the possibility of remote work to some extent if it works for the operations.
