Do you want to help create a safe, meaningful, and developmental after-school program for our students? We are now looking for a primary school teacher in after-school care for a significant and important assignment to raise the quality of the after-school program.
Here, you will have an important role in leading, developing, and coordinating the after-school program together with engaged colleagues. We are looking for you who are a clear and courageous leader with both heart and mind – a person who can combine structure, warmth, and initiative in daily work.
About the position
As a primary school teacher in the after-school program, you will have a special responsibility for coordinating and developing the after-school activities. The position involves both pedagogical and organizational responsibility, where you are expected to contribute to a activity characterized by safety, quality, and good collaboration.
Responsibilities
The position includes among other things:
- having an overarching partially administrative role
- coordinating the after-school program
- creating schedules for staff and recess supervisors
- monitoring staff time reporting
- leading the work team within the after-school program
- creating structure, consensus, and clarity in daily work
- planning activities in collaboration with after-school staff and/or teachers
- creating a red thread between school and after-school activities
- contributing to the development of a safe, inclusive, and educational after-school activity
- having a coordination responsibility related to school transportation
- collaborating with school management, colleagues, guardians, and other relevant actors
Qualifications
We are looking for you who:
- are educated as a primary school teacher in after-school care
- have good ability to lead and coordinate activities
- are confident in your professional role and have an easy time creating structure and good relationships
- communicate clearly and professionally
- have a solution-focused and responsible approach to work
Requirements:
- Education and certification as a primary school teacher in after-school care
- Experience in after-school activities in primary school grades F-6
It is meritorious if you have experience working in multicultural areas and have worked with students with NPF (Neurodevelopmental Disorders).
