About the position

The Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare is now planning to strengthen the work on issues related to competence supply in healthcare and is therefore seeking new employees. You will work with important and complex issues from a holistic perspective. The work may involve both coordinating and leading roles, and the tasks include planning, implementing, and reporting on assignments jointly with other investigators in the team.

We are looking for you who want to be part of the national work to support healthcare in matters of competence supply and healthcare capacity to meet the population's needs. Through the work, you have the opportunity to contribute and gather knowledge, as well as generate new understanding of some of healthcare's most pressing issues, collaborate with various actors to develop solutions, and contribute to benefits for patients, healthcare professionals, and management.

You will belong to the Competence Supply Unit and will be part of a competent team. Today, the unit consists of approximately 22 employees. We work to support healthcare in various ways.

About you

To thrive in the role and do a good job, we see that you have a good ability to understand complex problems. You should be able to take responsibility for your own work, work in a target-group-adapted manner, and provide support at the system level. You should be structured and able to make a message clear to others. You are good at switching between different types of tasks and using different work methods. The work may involve changes and reprioritizations, which means you need to be able to adapt to new conditions.

Since you will have many contacts both internally and externally, it is required that you are good at collaborating and building good relationships. At the same time, it is important that you have strong integrity and can stand up for your assignment. The role requires that you are self-reliant, take initiative, take own responsibility, and lead it to results. You should be unafraid to take on new challenges of varying difficulty and be stimulated by complex problems where you identify possible approaches.

For this position, we will place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

We are looking for you who have

  • academic education in social sciences such as political science, economics, organization, or other academic education that the agency deems relevant
  • experience leading work in project form and team-based work
  • experience leading and driving development and change of complex and system-spanning issues
  • good communicative skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • experience in meeting design based on target groups

It is meritorious if you have

  • knowledge of healthcare
  • knowledge of the education system, specialist training, or issues regarding further education and continuing education.

Good to know

The employment concerns several positions, all are permanent positions and begin with a six-month probationary period. You will be based at the office on Västerbroplan in Stockholm, but have the possibility to work remotely up to 2 days a week. In the spring of 2027, we will move to Solna Strand. Your job title will be Investigator and your placement is at the Department of Healthcare at the system level.
