JENSEN Komvux is now looking for a teacher in ENG/SVA/SVE for weekend work in Sundsvall.

JENSEN Komvux is for you who want to develop in your professional role and who want to contribute to our students' success. Jensen has schools all over Sweden.

In Sundsvall, Jensen runs theoretical Komvux (adult education) courses online, at both basic and upper secondary levels. Even students taking online courses often take exams on-site, and Jensen's students do this at Asta's premises in Sundsvall on weekends.

Responsibilities and Duties

Our distance students in Sundsvall take national exams on-site. In the language subjects – ENG, SVA, SVE – this means they take oral exams on-site. Your main task is to conduct oral national exams in Swedish as a second language, Swedish, and English (ENG level 1+2, SVA/SVE level 1+3) over two Saturdays within a five-week period. While you are conducting the oral exams, other exams are taking place in the same room, so you are not working alone.

This work is estimated to take one full Saturday (09:00–16:00) and then retakes the following weekend (10:00–12:00), followed by 3 weeks without exams. The cycle then repeats in a five-week pattern. Additionally, we conduct trials twice a year. Further on, this may also involve discussing the NP text booklets with SVA 3 and holding preparatory lessons for the NP with SVA 1.

All work shifts are scheduled for weekends, never on weekdays.

If interested, there is also an opportunity for distance teaching.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with upper secondary qualification in English and Swedish/Swedish as a second language.

You have experience working with students with varying prior knowledge and the ability to help each individual reach their set goals. You can adapt your communication to each individual.

You are confident, attentive, and clear in your interactions. You have the interest, willingness, and ability to help others. As a teacher at JENSEN adult education, you need to be an initiative-taking, pedagogical, and communicative person. You have the ability and desire to be the leader in the classroom.

Employment Type

We are looking for someone who wants to work as a hourly-paid employee or part-time. The scope of the position may vary depending on student numbers and the needs of the operation. Start date can be immediate or by agreement.
