About the role

Do you want to join an exciting fintech company in strong growth where you can combine accounting, controlling, and data in one role? We are currently looking, on behalf of our client, for a data-driven and hands-on Financial Controller to join an engaged and forward-looking team in central Stockholm. Here you will work closely with the operations, contribute to the development of financial flows, and act as a key link between finance and data. The assignment is initially linked to parental leave. You will report to the Head of Financial Control and collaborate closely with both the CFO and other parts of the organization.

Responsibilities

In the role of Financial Controller at our client, you will step into a broad and operational function where you work closely with both the accounting team and the company's data platform. You will have a central role in the closing process while driving improvements and efficiencies in processes and systems.

You are responsible for driving and developing the company's closing process with a focus on quality, speed, and analysis. The role includes, among other things, performing account reconciliations and analyzing income statement and balance sheet items to ensure correct financial reporting. You act as a support and sounding board for the accounting team and actively contribute to raising the quality of the delivery.

Furthermore, you work with VAT and tax-related issues in daily operations and handle and ensure quality in SIE files and financial data flows. An important part of the role is to understand how data moves between the economic system, data warehouse, and dashboard solutions, and to contribute to ensuring these flows are efficient and reliable.

You are also expected to identify areas for improvement and drive initiatives related to the automation and efficiency of financial processes, with a special focus on Business Central and related systems. The role involves close collaboration with the data platform team and engineers, where you contribute financial understanding in technical contexts.

In addition, you participate in ad hoc analyses and business-related follow-ups and contribute to the development of dashboards and data-driven management.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are confident in operational accounting work and who simultaneously have a strong interest in analysis, data, and improvement work. You have experience with closing, account reconciliations, and financial analysis, and are comfortable working hands-on with details while keeping the big picture in mind.

You have experience with Business Central or similar business systems and thrive in an environment where systems, data, and finance meet. Experience with SIE files, data warehouses, or basic SQL is a plus.
