Children and young people are important in Ludvika! We demonstrate this by making them the center of the municipal organization. Most resources directed towards children and young people have been consolidated under a single committee. This includes preschool, primary school, special needs school, and individual and family care. What all these operations have in common is a conscious quality work aimed at continuously developing and improving the work with children and young people.

The Workplace

The outpatient care unit consists of a total of 30 employees divided into Family Team, Intermediate Team, Parent Advisors, Addiction Team, Supported Housing/Supported Living, and Field Social Workers. Today, we have a workplace filled with joy and strong cohesion, where we see the closeness to each other and our different teams as a strength.

The supported housing section of the outpatient care is now looking for a residential pedagogue for the operation, a service designed for young people between the ages of 16–20.

Job Responsibilities

The work is carried out based on a established care plan and implementation plan, where one of the goals is to support, help, and prepare the young person to manage an independent adult life. The work involves being available to the young people through visits and phone calls. This can mean everything from helping with practical tasks, support/help with schoolwork, planning finances, to providing conversational support, etc. Documentation is required according to current legislation.

Qualifications

• At least a two-year post-secondary education with a focus on social, psychosocial, or therapeutic pedagogical areas.
• Ability to work independently and in a structured manner.
• Good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
• Valid B-class driver's license.

Merits

Experience working with young people and young adults in need of support, preferably within supported housing, outpatient care, or similar operations.
