We are looking for a Social Worker for a combined role within children and youth as well as foster care

Boxholm Municipality is now looking for a social worker for a combined role within children and youth as well as foster care – a broad and developing role where you have the opportunity to follow and make a difference for children, young people, and families over time.

About the role

The position is divided between two areas where approximately 60% of the work concerns a social secretary within children and youth and approximately 40% as a foster care secretary.

As a social secretary within children and youth, you work with authority duties directed at children and young people between 0–21 years. The assignment includes:

• Investigating, assessing, and following up on measures according to the Social Services Act (SoL)
• Working closely with children, young people, and their guardians
• Documenting and making decisions according to current legislation
• Collaborating with other authorities and actors regarding the child's needs

In the role of foster care secretary, you work primarily with contact persons, contact families, and foster homes according to SoL and the Act for Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments (LSS). The assignment includes among other things:

• Recruiting, investigating, and supervising foster homes
• Following up on placements and foster care measures
• Educating and guiding foster homes
• Collaborating closely with other social secretaries in the unit

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a degree in Social Work. It is meritorious if you have experience with authority duties within children and youth or work with foster care.

For the position, it is required that you:

• Have good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• Have a B driver's license as travel occurs in the position
• Are confident in meetings with people and in your professional role
