Central Hospital Kristianstad (CSK) is the emergency hospital for northern-eastern Scania. Here, dedicated staff work together to provide qualified emergency care, 24/7. With us, you get the best of both worlds: the resources of a large hospital combined with the proximity, community, and short decision-making paths of a smaller hospital.

Within the Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) department, we offer broad and comprehensive specialist care, from diagnostics to treatment and rehabilitation of diseases and disabilities in the ear, nose, and throat area. We handle everything from common to more complex ENT conditions and also provide on-call services. We have a well-developed practice in several areas of ENT specialization and work closely with our own audiologists and speech therapists. Surgery is performed in both outpatient and inpatient care, and we have access to our own inpatient beds.

For certain ENT diagnostic areas, CSK has a regional mandate, for example, for pediatric sleep apnea investigations. We collaborate closely and effectively with university healthcare, providing excellent opportunities for knowledge exchange and development.

Job Description

As a Specialist Physician with us, you will have a varied role involving work at the clinic, on the ward, in central surgery, as well as outpatient surgeries. You will also be part of our emergency on-call line.

Here, you will have excellent opportunities to develop and challenge yourself in your role. You will have the prerequisites to both broaden your competence in general ENT and deepen your expertise in specific areas. We encourage subspecialization and support competence development, for example, through courses, conferences, and networks.

We place great emphasis on a work environment with short decision-making paths, a family-like atmosphere, and close collaboration between all professional groups. As a specialist with us, you also play an important role in supervising and supporting our resident doctors (ST-läkare), which we see as a natural part of our shared learning.

Qualifications

We welcome you if you are a licensed physician with authorization to work in Swedish healthcare and have specialist competence in ENT. Proficiency in Swedish at a minimum level of C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement.
