Do you want to lead a team towards high quality, efficient production, and continuous improvements? Wenmec AB is expanding and is now looking for a Production Manager for our welding department. We are looking for you who are passionate about leadership, thrive close to the operations, and want to develop both employees and working methods in a modern workshop environment.

Responsibilities

As the Production Manager for welding, you are responsible for leading and distributing the daily work on the department. You ensure that the work is performed with high quality and according to established routines. You have personnel responsibility for approximately 20 employees and report to the Production Director. The role involves close collaboration with colleagues within the production management team as well as with other functions at Wenmec.

You will be a key person in:

• Leading daily work through daily control and clear follow-up
• Ensuring that work starts on time and according to plan
• Early identification and flagging of deviations within areas such as safety, production, quality, and capacity
• Initiating and leading cross-functional pulse meetings in real-time for problem-solving, improvements, and efficiency
• Ensuring the right competence and authorization in the team
• Developing employees through competence matrices and development discussions
• Holding information meetings and being a clear communication link between management and employees
• Driving continuous improvements within your area of responsibility and working towards goal-oriented groups

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

• Experience of workforce management in the manufacturing industry with a focus on welding
• Experience of working with goal-oriented management
• A genuine interest in both people, technology, and welding
• Good knowledge of welding
• Basic knowledge of labor law, occupational health and safety, and LEAN
• Good computer skills with knowledge of working administratively in systems
• Good teamwork skills and clear, communicative leadership

You are driven by improving both your own and the team's work, creating involvement and a common direction – while not hesitating to be proactive and clear in setting requirements.

We place great importance on personal suitability. You need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both orally and in writing.
