About the Company
Have you worked with material planning and/or procurement? Then you might be our new Supply Chain Specialist / Material Planner, ready to take on a key role within material supply. You will have a clear focus area, but also the freedom to influence and shape the work. In this role, you are responsible for ensuring that the right materials are in the right place at the right time – while simultaneously optimizing inventory levels and keeping costs under control. You act as a central link between procurement, production, suppliers, and transporters, with an international scope of responsibility covering Sweden, the United Kingdom, and Italy.
Your Responsibilities
Do you want to take full ownership of the material flow in a business where your structure, analytical skills, and drive truly make a difference? In this role, you will have overall responsibility for material supply to production – from needs analysis to delivery follow-up. You ensure that the right materials are in place at the right time, at the right cost, and you do not hesitate to act when something risks failing. You manage inventory replenishment according to established frameworks, but are also expected to challenge and improve working methods. With a sharp eye for detail and the big picture, you monitor inventory levels and create an optimal balance between availability, capital tie-up, and turnover. By analyzing production plans, forecasts, and bills of materials, you ensure that material requirements are always correctly dimensioned – even when conditions change rapidly. You place internal purchase orders and handle external purchase requisitions, while maintaining close and clear dialogue with suppliers regarding order status, delivery changes, and follow-up. You have a natural drive to steer situations and ensure that transports, material flows, and deliveries run frictionlessly. When problems arise, you step forward, take initiative, and drive solutions – with both structure and gravitas. The role involves close collaboration with suppliers where you actively follow up on performance, handle deviations, and drive improvements. You work proactively to identify bottlenecks in the supply chain and ensure they are eliminated before they impact the business. You are also responsible for keeping item and inventory data in the ERP/MRP system updated and quality-assured, including reorder points and item structure. Additionally, you contribute to developing smart and efficient reorder strategies based on OTIF, inventory turnover, MTO/MTS, and the company's goals. Here you get a broad, independent, and influential role where you not only manage – you improve, steer, and develop supply chain work forward.
Your Profile
You are a structured and analytical supply chain specialist who thrives with overall responsibility and control over complex flows. You have a sharp eye for detail, but never lose sight of the big picture – you understand how every decision impacts production, inventory, and business. You work methodically and carefully, but are far from passive. On the contrary – you have thick skin and dare to challenge when something is not functioning optimally. You take initiative, drive issues forward, and ensure things actually get done. When disruptions occur in the flow, you act quickly, clearly, and with gravitas. You are confident in your dialogue with suppliers and internal stakeholders and have the ability to both collaborate and set demands. You are solution-oriented rather than administrative – you are not satisfied with just handling problems; you want to understand the root cause and genuinely improve working methods. Furthermore, you are data-driven in your approach. You are comfortable in ERP/MRP systems and see the importance of correct master data as a prerequisite for success. You like to work proactively, identify risks and bottlenecks in good time, and find smart ways to optimize flows, inventory levels, and delivery precision. In short: You are a driven doer with structure in your backbone, analytics in your head, and the courage to take command when needed.
