NTI Gymnasiet has schools across Sweden, focusing on technology, science, and innovation. The digitalization of society creates both new opportunities and challenges across all industries. Our mission is to provide our students, regardless of their program, with cutting-edge digital skills and knowledge of new technologies already during upper secondary school. We create environments, methods, forums, and collaborations that develop an understanding of the changing world we live in. Read more about our schools at www.ntigymnasiet.se (http://www.ntigymnasiet.se).
NTI Gymnasiet Sundsvall is a personal school with 160 students, distributed across the Technology Program, the Electrical and Energy Program, the Arts Program, and the fourth technical year. We focus on high-quality teaching, and for several years, we have worked with formative assessment and collegial learning. Are you genuinely curious about students' potential and driving forces? Do you want to work in a dynamic climate where the student perspective permeates the operations? Then we are the right school for you.
We are now looking for an engaged vocational teacher in network technology who wants to help develop our Electrical and Energy Program with a focus on computer and communication technology.
What we offer you
As a vocational teacher with us, you primarily teach courses in network technology, computer technology, and software design. The position also includes responsibility for APL (Work-based Learning) as an important part of the vocational teacher role.
This means you follow the students' development both in school and during their work-based learning. You collaborate with working life, contribute to creating and developing APL placements, and ensure that the students' education has a clear connection to the industry.
You will also be involved in developing the program's content and learning environments, including our network lab.
An important part of the education is preparing students for working life through industry-relevant knowledge and certifications, such as Cisco. Therefore, we would appreciate it if you have experience or interest in these areas.
As an employee with us, you become part of a well-functioning staff group characterized by job satisfaction, creativity, and professionalism.
We offer our employees continuous competence development through Academedia Academy, as well as internal and external professional development. You will naturally receive collective agreement benefits and insurance, as well as wellness allowances, pension counseling, staff discounts, and opportunities for favorable purchases through net and gross salary exchange.
What we are looking for
- Are a certified teacher, or have relevant professional experience in networking, IT, or computer and communication technology that can be combined with pedagogical education.
- Have strong subject competence in network technology, computer technology, and software design.
- Have industry experience and a good understanding of the competencies demanded in working life.
- Have good industry contacts or an interest in building and developing collaboration with companies.
- Are a confident and structured leader in the classroom.
- Build good relationships with students, colleagues, and external partners.
- Are solution-focused and thrive in collaboration.
- Want to contribute to developing teaching and operations.
It is an advantage if you:
- Have experience working with certifications, e.g., Cisco.
- Have experience working in Microsoft and Linux environments.
- Have programming skills.
- Have worked in education, e.g., as a teacher in upper secondary school or adult education.
Other:
The position is a permanent part-time employment (50%) starting August 12, 2026. We apply a 6-month probation period. The location is Sundsvall. If you have questions, please contact Principal Jonas Gerdin at 076-1413886.
If offered employment, you are required to present an extract from the criminal record register before the employment contract comes into effect.
We look forward to receiving your application!
