ABOUT THE WORKPLACE

The Kalmar County Municipal Association is owned by the twelve municipalities in the county. The association's services form a platform for cooperation for the member municipalities, primarily based on assignments within Youth, education and establishment, Health care and social care, as well as Food, environmental and health protection.

The role of Development Manager is linked to the Area Group Health Care and Social Care, which also constitutes Kalmar County's Regional Cooperation and Support Structure (RSS). Within this area, we work on development issues concerning the municipalities' social services, as well as adjacent health and medical care. The work is adapted based on current knowledge and national governance and may therefore change over time.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We offer a leading and coordinating role within a vital societal area! The main task is to contribute to ensuring that people in Kalmar County are offered proactive and health-promoting interventions, as well as good and equal care and support when dealing with mental health issues and/or harmful use and addiction. The position covers both adult and child perspectives within these areas.

The Development Manager works on behalf of the municipalities with various initiatives that promote municipal-wide improvement work for the health of residents. The work is also carried out in collaboration with the region within the county-wide management structure. In addition, collaboration takes place with other principal authorities and actors.

The work is based on the social services' knowledge steering, which also describes the Development Manager's tasks:

• Plan operations based on formulated goals, policy documents, and national knowledge support.
• Identify needs for knowledge development.
• Gather and disseminate the best available knowledge and proven experience.
• Support systematic follow-up and analysis.
• Support systematic improvement work and implementation.
• Support competence development.

The Development Manager coordinates several county-wide working groups and networks, and is the county's representative in various national networks. The place of work is Kalmar. The job involves travel, primarily within the county but also some nationally.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have several years of experience in social work with a focus on harmful use/addiction and mental health, preferably within public administration. You have experience in developing processes and in independently driving and completing qualified investigation and change work. You are well acquainted with current legislation (Social Services Act, Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments, Health and Medical Services Act, and Local Government Act).

You hold a bachelor's degree, preferably a master's degree, with a focus on social work, behavioral science, health care, or another relevant focus. The position requires good written and oral communication skills as well as a B-driver's license.

Equally important is who you are as a person. We are looking for you who are goal- and result-oriented, and who want to contribute to development. You need to be self-reliant, flexible, and analytical. You work in a structured manner, have an overview, and can switch between different perspectives. You are relationship-building and have a good ability to lead and coordinate groups. You are communicative and enjoy giving lectures and presenting information in various contexts.
