We are now looking for a support assistant acting as a work supervisor for our new Daily Activities group, with the aim of launching during the summer/autumn. The group will collaborate with an external partner and carry out assignments for them. Other tasks may also be included. If you have several years of experience working with our target group and possibly also within Daily Activities, and you want the chance to start up a completely new group, now is the time to apply for this position.

Daily Activities is a statutory right implemented under LSS, the Act on Support and Service for Certain Functional Impairments. LSS is an entitlement act for individuals with extensive and long-term impairments such as autism, autism-like conditions, intellectual disability, or acquired brain injury in adulthood.

Currently, our operations consist of 10 groups and 3 teams with different content, as well as an external operation focused on seeking individual placements in companies, organizations, and other municipal activities. At present, the operation has over 150 employees who have their work-like activities under LSS with our support. This is made possible by the 24 employees currently working in the operation.

Job Responsibilities

As a support assistant with the role of work supervisor within our Daily Activities, you will work with supporting and supervising, as well as providing opportunities for development and integration into society. You will be involved from the start and help build the operation and the group in close collaboration with a representative from the external company.

The goal of your assignment is to provide the individual with a meaningful and work-like activity, while working to ensure that the individual has the opportunity to develop according to their wishes. As a support assistant and work supervisor in Daily Activities, your work may vary depending on the focus of the work group and the needs of the employees. Care tasks may occur, and you are expected to take on HSL-delegated tasks that nurses or rehabilitation staff wish to delegate to you. In addition to independently managing the work in your work group, you will help drive and develop the pedagogical work in Daily Activities as a whole. You actively participate in change initiatives and always work with a salutogenic and solution-focused approach, with the employee's best interests as the starting point.

An important part of the job involves developing implementation plans together with the employees and continuously ensuring that documentation is carried out according to current legal requirements with good quality. In your assignment, it is important that you seek knowledge and stay updated on methods and approaches relevant to the disability sector and the LSS sector based on proven experience and science.

Qualifications

You who are applying have relevant education focused on the disability sector, such as assistant nurse, child and youth care, support educator, or other education relevant to the profession that the employer considers equivalent. You should have several years of work experience working with the target group, preferably within Daily Activities. Education and/or experience in working with clear pedagogy, MI (Motivational Interviewing), solution focus, salutogenic approach, and AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) is meritorious.

As a person, you are independent, engaged, creative, and take initiative. You have a great interest in people, are calm, receptive, and see opportunities. You enjoy collaborating with others and being part of starting up and developing a new operation. You are flexible in your way of working with employees, colleagues, management, and key persons around the employees. You handle computers and various systems smoothly in your daily work.

A B driver's license is a requirement, as is the ability to cycle and having good computer skills.

Personal suitability is given great weight.
