Become an economist where your contribution makes a difference
The Department of Neuroscience studies various aspects of the nervous system's function, both under normal conditions and in various disease states. The research projects cover a broad spectrum of studies at the molecular and cellular levels, nerve cell networks, and the organization of the nervous system as a whole. The department also provides education in anatomy, histology, and neuroscience within several degree programs at Karolinska Institutet.
Neuroscience has approximately 250 employees distributed among some 40 research groups, active in the Biomedicum research building on the Solna campus, which houses up to 1,500 employees. Here, our administrative unit for HR, finance, and graduate studies works together with four other administrative units in a shared block with an open office layout and space for up to 50 colleagues.
