Olympica is now looking for an engaged school counselor who wants to work in our central student health team with a clear focus on promoting and preventing student health issues.

Olympica runs schools with a holistic view of learning where knowledge, safety, and health are interconnected. The position is distributed among Olympica's primary schools in Hedemora (Grades F–6), Ludvika (Håksberg) (Grades F–6), and Leksand (Excel) (Grades F–9). You will become an important part of a unified student health effort where collaboration, quality, and the student's best interests are always in focus.

About the role

As a counselor with us, your primary work is promotional and preventive, aiming to strengthen students' mental health and create safe, inclusive learning environments. You contribute to developing structures and working methods that benefit all students.

You are part of a central student health team alongside other professionals, where you jointly drive and develop preventive student health work. The role also involves corrective measures when necessary.

You collaborate closely with school leadership, teachers, and guardians, provide supervision to staff, and participate in student health meetings. The work is conducted at the organizational, group, and individual levels.

We are looking for someone who

• holds a degree in social work or equivalent education
• has experience working with children and young people, preferably in a school setting
• has a strong interest in promotional and preventive work
• is confident in your professional role and has good collaboration skills
• works in a structured and independent manner while valuing teamwork
