Do you want to contribute to TLV's vision of getting the most possible health for the tax money? With our diverse competencies and backgrounds, we work every day to realize our vision, and now we are looking for you who also feel a strong commitment to our mission. We are located in bright, nice premises on Kungsholmen in Stockholm, just a ten-minute walk from Stockholm Central Station. Come and work with us!

Do you want to become part of a tight-knit team at a government agency where we are inspired by creating public benefit and developing sustainable solutions? As a Medical Assessor, you will receive support from competent colleagues, have the opportunity to collaborate with various professions, and a chance to grow in your professional role. We are looking for one or more new Medical Assessors.

Job Responsibilities

As a Medical Assessor, you process applications from pharmaceutical companies regarding whether a medicine or a consumable item should be included in the drug benefits. You also work with health economic assessments of medicines and medical technology for the regions. You review and evaluate clinical studies and other documentation submitted by companies to the agency. The assessments vary in nature, both in terms of scope and complexity.

In collaboration with other Medical Assessors, lawyers, and health economists, you develop and prepare a decision basis that forms the foundation for assessing whether the cost of a medicine or medical technology product is reasonable in relation to the benefit the product provides. You and your work group present your findings either to the committee that makes decisions in our cases or to other recipients.

The work also involves participating in the department's development work regarding methods and processes, based on interest, competence, and the department's needs. The department is also responsible for implementing and following up on government assignments, such as those concerning access to cancer medicines and how a new EU regulation on medicine evaluation should be implemented in Sweden.

The work is independent but also involves significant interaction with colleagues in various functions within the agency and externally with representatives from, among others, Swedish regions, patient organizations, professions, and companies.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

  • a university degree in pharmacy, biomedicine, or another area relevant to the work
  • knowledge of pharmacology
  • relevant experience working in the medical and/or pharmaceutical field
  • experience and ability to assess the content and quality of clinical studies
  • good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as well as good presentation skills

It is meritorious if you have:

  • a PhD in an area relevant to the work
  • experience in the pharmaceutical field at agencies under the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs, the pharmaceutical industry, regions, or academia

For the work, it is important that you are proactive and solution-oriented and have good analytical skills. You work independently and have good collaboration skills.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Employment Type

Permanent position, full-time, starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date as soon as possible, by agreement.

Application Deadline

Send your application, marked with case number 1907/2026, no later than June 7, 2026.

We work based on competence, and the recruitment process consists of a phone screening, a digital interview, and a work test during a follow-up interview at our office. We use selection questions linked to the requirement profile, so you do not attach a cover letter, but only your CV, which must be in Swedish.

At TLV, we assume that every person is unique. We work together for diversity and inclusion, as well as an equal and gender-equal working environment. We value the qualities that diversity brings to the operations and therefore welcome applicants with different backgrounds and life experiences.
