About the Workplace

Sörgården i Mönsterås AB is a special residential facility located in the picturesque village of Ålem, just a few kilometers from the Kalmar Sound. We provide support and care to individuals with psychiatric diagnoses and co-occurring substance abuse issues.

Our work is based on a low-affective approach and is tailored to each individual's unique needs. A key part of our mission is to create safety and stability, while offering activities and opportunities for development based on the resident's prerequisites. We always strive to strengthen the resident's independence and participation in daily life.

Job Responsibilities

As a resource person, you are a close support for a resident at Sörgården. You work based on the individual plan established for that specific person, contributing to making their daily life safe, meaningful, and developmental.

The work includes, among other things:

• Providing support in the resident's daily life, both practically and socially.
• Supporting and motivating based on individual goals and needs.
• Participating in and encouraging activities that strengthen independence and well-being.
• Documenting according to current routines.
• Collaborating closely with other resource persons, care staff, nurses, administration, and management.

As a resource person, you play a vital role in creating continuity and building trust in the relationship with the resident.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working in psychiatry or other care/support services, as well as experience in substance abuse work.
• Is confident, calm, and responsible.
• Has good collaboration skills and can work in teams with various professions.
• Is engaged, patient, and capable of treating people with respect and professionalism.

Merits:

• Education as an assistant nurse (undersköterska).
• ESL education (Ett Självständigt Liv / A Life of One's Own).
