About you

We are looking for you who are a trained nurse. Experience in healthcare or emergency care is meritorious but not a requirement. You are professional and can meet people in the moment with heart and warmth. As a person, you are structured, stable, have good collaboration skills, and are committed to wanting to develop, improve, and change.

A prerequisite for you to thrive and fit into the role of a nurse with us at the emergency clinic is that you can handle stress and make quick prioritizations with the patient in focus. The work is varied, which means there is a need to be flexible and also proactive to solve and handle the situations that arise.

Your future workplace

The emergency clinic at Kalmar Hospital provides acute care around the clock. At the emergency clinic, we primarily take care of surgical, orthopedic, medical, and infectious disease patients, as well as patients who arrive with blue lights from other departments such as the women's clinic, pediatric, eye, and ear clinics. Our workplace collaborates with most departments at the hospital, ambulance services, the police, the prison service, other hospitals, and home care in nearby municipalities.

Our clinic consists of two parts:

Emergency Care Unit (AVA): Is a hospital-wide resource with 14–18 care beds. It is a 24-hour unit where we investigate and treat patients who need continued observation and/or short-term care for a maximum of one day. We have close cooperation with the geriatric advisory team located at the emergency clinic.
