Job Description

Background

Transitio is a company owned by twenty regions in Sweden, where the mandate is to procure, finance, manage, and lease rolling stock for regional rail traffic on behalf of our owners. The purpose is primarily to optimize the owners' vehicle costs and to ensure high quality and competence in the areas of procurement, management, and maintenance. Transitio's employees and consultants act, operate, and develop the business based on the premise that we are team players, initiators, and value creators.

A very important part of Transitio's management work is to continuously identify, investigate, and implement technical changes to vehicles, HVC (High-Value Components), and their support systems. The change work is led by Transitio's Change Manager, who has overall responsibility for change management for all vehicle types within Transitio's management.

We are now looking for a resource who will be responsible for the change management of the Itino vehicle type. With overall responsibility for all changes affecting Itino vehicles, the role is very central, and you will become an important puzzle piece in the development of the vehicles. Within the assignment, you ensure structure, quality, efficiency, and progress in change management.

Main Responsibilities

Technical

• Identify solutions to technical problems (e.g., systematic faults, obsolescence, and other vehicle adaptations)
• Lead technical investigations
• Coordinate and drive investigations together with system suppliers
• Coordinate, plan, execute, and evaluate test installations
• Write simple technical reports

Maintenance Development

Ensure that the scope of prescribed maintenance is optimal based on criteria such as:

• Vehicles' reliability and availability
• Vehicles' lifecycle cost
• Vehicle lifespan assurance
• Evaluate consequences and outcomes of maintenance changes
• Write and develop maintenance documentation
• Ensure relevance of documentation delivered by management projects
• Manage the maintenance system (currently FORD)

Standards and Regulations

• Conduct risk assessments according to CSM-RA
• Ensure compliance with technical specifications for interoperability (TSI)
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and other rules

Communication and Reporting

• Maintain dialogue with all stakeholders (vehicle owners, lessees, railway undertakings, light and heavy maintenance suppliers, and system suppliers)
• Regularly report status, risks, and progress to the vehicle type's steering group
• Report status and progress in meeting forums with heavy maintenance suppliers
• Produce presentation material and reports for different target groups as needed

Location and Travel

• The base location is Stockholm, but the work can be performed from other locations in Sweden.
• Presence in practical operations is important. 1-2 travel days per month within Sweden is expected.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• Post-secondary education in engineering (university degree or civil engineer) or equivalent work experience
• At least 5 years of experience working with railway vehicles at a deep technical level
• At least 3 years of experience working in FORD or a similar vehicle management system
• At least 3 years of experience including tools for vehicle documentation, maintenance, and status monitoring of railway vehicles
• At least 3 years of experience in railway vehicle management

Competencies:

• Very good knowledge of the Office package
• Strong administrative and organizational skills as well as high attention to detail
• Good initiative-taking ability and ability to drive work independently
• Good analytical skills and business understanding
• Very good teamwork skills
• Very good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Very good proficiency in Swedish, both verbal and written
• Good proficiency in English, both verbal and written

Meritorious Requirements:

• Technical knowledge of Transitio's railway vehicles and their management
• Practical experience, preferably supplemented with training, in CSM-RA and its application
• A well-established network regarding Itino. This includes other management areas such as suppliers of rolling stock and maintenance services
• Experience implementing changes in FORD
• Practical experience working in a depot environment
• More than 3 years of experience working with the Itino vehicle type
• Experience leading smaller projects or sub-projects
• Knowledge of German, both verbal and written
