Are you at the beginning of your career and want to take the next step within accounting? At FMV (Swedish Defence Materiel Administration), we are now looking for a quality-conscious and proactive Junior Accountant for our accounting unit. Here you will have the opportunity to develop your skills together with an experienced group of accountants, while contributing to the public good – both today and in the future.

About the role

As an accountant, you will play a key role in ongoing accounting, reconciliations, year-end closing, and financial reporting. The defence sector is growing, and the accounting work is characterized by development and variety. You will work together with experienced colleagues and gradually gain the opportunity to develop and take greater responsibility within the accounting area.

In this role, you contribute to ensuring quality and efficiency in financial processes while gaining the opportunity to broaden your competence in areas such as external accounting, public sector financial administrative regulations, and the preparation of annual accounts in a large organization.

You will become part of a knowledge-intensive team where collaboration, learning, and development are in focus. This role is suitable for you who want to grow within external accounting and develop in a business with complex and varied tasks.

The position is located in Stockholm.

About you

We are looking for you who have an academic degree in business administration and at least one year of relevant experience working with ongoing accounting, year-end closing, and reconciliations. You have experience working in financial and business systems such as UBW. To succeed in the role, it is necessary that you have good knowledge of the MS Office suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. The position requires that you can express yourself well in both speech and writing in Swedish and English.

Experience of accounting work at a government agency is meritorious. We would appreciate it if you have experience working with tax and VAT returns, and if you have previous experience working in the banking sector, we see this as an advantage.

Personal attributes are of great importance to us. We welcome applicants with different backgrounds and experiences and are looking for you who enjoy collaborating with others, are receptive, and solve problems in a constructive way. You work diligently and have a good understanding of the importance of delivering high-quality work within set goals and timeframes. We also look for someone who is self-motivated, takes initiative, and has the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize their work effectively. The role requires that you take responsibility for your tasks, drive your processes forward, and contribute to good teamwork.
