About the Workplace

Sörgården i Mönsterås AB is a specialized housing facility located in the picturesque village of Ålem, just a few kilometers from the Kalmar Sound. We offer support and care to individuals living with psychiatric diagnoses or dual diagnosis (co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders).

At our facility, support is tailored to each individual's needs. We base our approach on low-affective interaction, striving to create safety, stability, and development for our residents. A key part of our work is offering activities and opportunities for growth based on the resident's own prerequisites, while working to strengthen each person's independence and participation in daily life.

We are also preparing to launch a new supported housing unit for individuals with dual diagnosis. For those with the right competence and experience in the addiction field, there is an opportunity to work there in the future.

Responsibilities

As night staff on duty, you are responsible for safety and care during the night hours. Your duties include:

• Providing support to residents as needed during the night.
• Overseeing supervision, nursing interventions, and handling acute situations in a professional manner.
• Contributing to a calm and secure environment for the residents.
• Documenting events and interventions in the journal system.
• Collaborating with day and evening staff to ensure continuity and safety in care.

The role of night staff requires significant personal responsibility and demands presence, reliability, and the ability to remain calm even in difficult situations.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working in healthcare and social services, preferably within psychiatry and/or dual diagnosis.
• Has the ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively in a team.
• Is calm, reliable, and responsible.
• Has patience and the ability to interact professionally with people in vulnerable situations.

Merits:

• Education as a nursing assistant or equivalent.
• ESL training (Ett Självständigt Liv / A Independent Life).
• Further education in psychiatry and/or addiction.
