About the role

Your task is to provide quality of life. You see every individual and have the ability to understand what each person needs. Thanks to you, those living with us can maintain their way of life and habits. At the same time, you develop valuable knowledge about care, service, and aging.

As a nurse assistant/care assistant, you play a key role in a team with nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists who work closely together.

About Gruvan

Gruvan is an old post office with character located in the center of Karlstad, next to the Cathedral. The residence consists of three floors with 11 apartments on each floor. We have a lovely roof terrace that we enjoy using when the weather permits.

• We are a dementia-certified residence, which means that everyone working here is trained in dementia and interaction through Vardaga's Dementia Academy.
• We apply a basic schedule based on the care recipient's needs. The schedule rotates every 4 weeks.
• We collaborate with the company Ung Omsorg. This means that a team of young people aged 14–18 visits us on weekends and holidays. Ung Omsorg organizes various activities to add value to the lives of our residents.
• You have a group manager who spends most of their time working closely with you in the operations. Becoming a group manager can also be a career opportunity for you as a nurse assistant.
• We are constantly working to come up with new, exciting activities for our residents.

Your experience and knowledge

We guess that you who apply to us:

• are attracted by a job that is varied and requires extensive knowledge of care and nursing, but also a talent for meeting people in different situations.
• are a creative person who dares to think independently, take responsibility, and work autonomously.
• enjoy working in teams and supporting your colleagues.

We would prefer that you are a trained nurse assistant/care assistant or have corresponding experience working in elderly care, as well as experience with night shifts in healthcare.

Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is a requirement, but otherwise, your CV is not the most important thing. If you have the right qualities, we will give you support and the opportunity to grow.
