We are now looking for a construction worker specializing in road construction and bridge maintenance for our construction department in Uddevalla. Your role as a construction worker

The position involves most construction tasks within road building, such as road reinforcement, new construction of pedestrian and cycle paths, and railing work. Within bridge maintenance tasks on and around bridge structures, the duties include, for example, flushing, cleaning, impregnation, concrete repair, and inspection of bridge bearings.

Projects vary in size, giving you great opportunities to be creative in your role and work solution-focused to reach the goal. You have the opportunity to work independently and largely influence your daily work together with your management. In many of our projects, you will work together with our various contractors to achieve a good final product together.

Primarily, we work with the Swedish Transport Administration as a client, but we also have external customers. Furthermore, you will become a key person in our daily production together with your colleagues. Our work area extends within Fyrbodal, with some flexibility.

The position is full-time and you will be based at our establishment in Uddevalla. At Svevia, we apply individual salary setting. Start date by agreement.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who have experience in construction work within earthworks and preferably road construction as well as concrete, repair, and bridge work at heights. The work means that you should be able to perform various types of earth and construction work. You are independent and take initiative to provide the customer with good results in the best way according to ordered requirements.

In your professional role, Svevia requires the ability to maintain and create good customer relationships.

To succeed in the role, we see it as a requirement that you have:

• Category B driver's license
• At least 3 years of experience within earth and construction work, and preferably concrete work.
• Good Swedish in speech and writing
• Technical knowledge and ability to come up with your own solutions.
• In this role, you will work with digital tools and systems, and we are looking for you who have the habit of and are comfortable with a digital way of working from before.

It is also meritorious if you have:

• A upper secondary vocational education in road/construction
• Category BE and C driver's license
• YKB training (Swedish: Yrkeskompetensbevis för lastbilsförare)
• APV (Swedish: Arbetsskyddsombud)
• Fall protection training
• Lift training

Your personality is important to us! As a person, you are practical and like physical work. You are independent and take your own initiatives to provide the customer with good results in the best way according to ordered requirements. Furthermore, you are secure and appreciate varied work where you get to prioritize yourself. The work means that you should be able to perform various types of road construction and bridge maintenance, and you therefore need to enjoy working outdoors. The foundation for succeeding in this position is that, in addition to your previous competence, you have a service-oriented profile and want to have fun at work.
