Job Responsibilities

The development work at Sund Birsta AB aims to offer innovative and competitive products that contribute to the company's profitability. As a Development Engineer, you are responsible for developing new technical solutions and future products, together with other specialists and generalists. The development work is primarily project-based, and you typically participate from the preliminary study phase to market introduction.

In your work developing new technical solutions, you are expected to conduct theoretical and practical investigations to understand the task, often through visits and dialogue with our customers. Based on the conclusions drawn from these investigations and the given specifications, you will then develop various solution proposals. To evaluate whether your proposals meet the requirements, it is often necessary to produce and test functional prototypes.

The role requires you to be comfortable working with incomplete problem formulations and to act based on the information you deem necessary to solve the task. The position offers excellent opportunities for development through technical specialization within our product segments, strategic development issues, or internationally within the Danieli Group.

Since we operate on an international stage, business travel is a natural part of the job.

Who are you?

We believe you have:

• A post-secondary degree, such as a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, or equivalent knowledge.
• Strong knowledge in your specialty area, mechanical design.
• Basic knowledge in industrial automation and electrical design, enabling you to create a functional technical whole.
• Good proficiency in Swedish and English.
• Documented ability to develop new technical solutions for industrial applications.
• Valid driver's license, category B.

Merits:

• Good knowledge of CAD tools for mechanics (e.g., SolidWorks).
• Experience with customer relations.
• Familiarity with our market and products.

The Development Engineer reports directly to the Development Manager.
